for the art area of my mind I thought to model a cabinet where art supplies would pop out. examples include Plasticine set, jars of glitter and other craft supplies, paint brushes in jars and felt tip pens. Each item has some history as I used all of these as a kid. The shelves could also be about the joy in collecting things. I could model a shelf that is filled with gem stones as an example or sweets.
The objects in the shelves could be animated to pop out into view similar to a jack in the box.
