first room:The start of ride will be a simple forest backdrop. maybe a signpost at the start to add information for the audience. next the wood would quickly transition into the world of my imagination. The forest is a visual representation from a story perspective representing my mind. The forest can represent seclusion escape and comfort which is how I usually percieve nature. The forest also represents the first layer of my mind, as in the more abstract layers are hidden inside. The forest will wind round corners with sharp turns and maybe objects moving out the way.
inspiration
For the shape of the trees i wanted to use inspiration from pantomime / theatre sets. The background foreground and mid ground could be built in a certain way. Another inspiration is pop up books, the influences all have essence of my childhood memories that is what i hope to achieve. This project will not just require 3d modelling skills but also traditional drawing skills too.
As for the colour pallete I am using inspiration from the Disney design artist Mary Blair. This is because through my entire project I wanted to create visual experience like a Dark ride at a Disney theme park.
second room: the next area after that would be the imagination. To progress into this the camera would take a sharp turn to the left or right in the woods before revealing the abstract mindscape.
There would be a chinese temple designed to be a giant indoor playground climbing tower. The camera would go over a rope bridge over a chasm filled with coloured balls like a ball pool. if possible in the temple there could be a tube slide that emptys oout into a ball pool before entering the third location.
This could be the first main build of the project
infleunces:
This area of the mind is inspired by memories exploring in adventure playgrounds as a kid. While the style will be like a chinese oriental landscape. This is a representation of my imagination. I used to do just this as a kid imagining amazing locations to explore with slides and all types of things.
The chinese temple will be customly designed. It will look like a playground tower a temple and even a treehouse all rolled into one. The geometry will be abstract and will be a main area of interest.
third room: pleasures and hobbys
fourth room: leads into dreams of the future.
fifth room: strange area of moving film real representing my recollection of thought while also being a room to represent the foreshadowing of what is to come.
